An MIT NANDA study finds most corporate generative-AI pilots deliver little measurable financial return.

What happened and why it matters

Based on interviews, surveys and analysis of public deployments, the report found a "GenAI divide": a small fraction of integrated deployments created value while most stalled. Methodology was criticised, but it captured a real deployment gap.
